Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Financial Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations of our Australian-based fintech and merchant cash advance business. This operational role focuses on loan book management, reconciliations, reporting, and financial control within an established structure.

Responsibilities
Managing and maintaining the loan management system, ensuring accuracy of balances, repayments and reporting
Daily and weekly reconciliation of Xero accounts, bank feeds and repayment files
Internal reporting to management on loan book performance, arrears, write offs and cash flow
Assisting with loan write offs and provisioning processes in line with company policy
Supporting budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes
Working closely with operations, collections and sales teams to ensure data integrity across systems
Ensuring financial controls and processes are properly followed
Requirements
Direct experience in fintech, non bank lending or merchant cash advance
Strong familiarity with high velocity loan books and short term lending products
Systems Experience: Xero, Loan management systems, Direct debit platforms, CRM systems
Strong Excel capability
Highly detail oriented and process driven
Comfortable working in a fast paced lending environment
Team player who can operate within an existing management structure
Strong accounting fundamentals
