The Director of AI Model Optimization at Openchip will focus on maximizing the efficiency of AI models on our custom hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will bridge AI software and hardware disciplines to push the boundaries of AI efficiency.
Drive research and implementation of model optimization techniques such as quantization, mixed-precision training, pruning, and model distillation.
# Work closely with the hardware and AI software teams to align AI model efficiency with Openchip’s compute architecture.
# Design and optimize AI model training and inference workflows for large-scale deployments.
# Report to the Chief AI & Software Systems Officer within Openchip.
MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Computational Engineering, or a related discipline.
# Strong background in AI model optimization, including experience with quantization, pruning, and distributed training methodologies.
# Familiarity with AI hardware acceleration techniques and low-level performance tuning.
# Experience working at the intersection of AI software and hardware, optimizing models for specialized computing platforms.
# Strong leadership skills with experience in managing AI model optimization teams.
