To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Cost Controller to manage project financials, ensure EU grant compliance, and strengthen financial performance analysis across departments. Role Purpose The Cost Controller is responsible for project financial control, cost monitoring, forecasting, and EU grant compliance. Working closely with R&D, Operations, and the Finance team, this role ensures accurate reporting, sound financial governance, and improved cost predictability across all projects. Responsibilities Controlling & Forecasting Analyze actuals vs budget/forecast and explain variances. Recommend corrective actions based on financial insights. Build and update project and departmental forecasts (revenues, costs, margins). Dashboards & Reporting Create dashboards to monitor project margins. Develop and maintain Finance KPIs. Contribute to the annual budget process. Finance Support Provide analytical inputs for monthly financial reporting. Partner with R&D and Operations to improve cost predictability and overall project performance. EU / Grant Projects Determine eligible costs, verify hourly rates, and ensure timesheet compliance. Track spending by project and work package. Prepare financial reports for the European Commission and maintain audit‑ready documentation. Lead responses during grant audits with clear and well‑structured supporting documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 2 to 5 years of experience in controlling, cost controlling, or financial analysis; experience with EU or grant‑funded projects is a strong asset. Proven ability to perform in‑depth analytical work and build reliable financial models. Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, basic modelling); experience with ERP systems such as Odoo is an advantage. High level of accuracy, organization, and documentation discipline, with the ability to maintain audit‑ready files. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with R&D, Operations, and Finance teams. A proactive, structured, and solution‑oriented mindset.
