Process Safety Engineer Role
This pivotal position involves leading the integration of safety design studies and risk assessments into practical strategies for LNG assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Integration and Guidance:
- Interpret third-party design study findings into actionable recommendations for project experts.
- Liaise between HSEQ design processes and operational practices.
Operational Safety Oversight:
- Review work permits, isolation schemes, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Provide technical instructions on work processes and content to internal and external teams.
Audits and Emergency Preparedness:
- Organize internal and external audits to ensure thorough closeout of findings and recommendations.
- Plan and execute Emergency Response exercises to improve ER preparedness strategies.
System Development and Incident Management:
- Monitor and enhance procedures and guidelines within the Safety Management System.
- Support incident investigations and implement lessons learned.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Master's degree in engineering, preferably in electromechanical or chemical disciplines.
Experience and Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process safety.
- In-depth understanding of HSE studies and risk assessment methodologies.
- Practical experience combining design strategies, study outcomes, and operational insights.
