About SplitStay
We’re building SplitStay, a social travel marketplace that helps solo travelers share hotel rooms, apartments, or villas — making travel more affordable, social, and sustainable.
Much like BlaBlaCar did for ride-sharing, SplitStay unlocks under-utilized hotel and short-term rental capacity by matching travelers open to sharing.
We’re backed by the ESADE eWorks Accelerator, Start it @ KBC, and recently featured in PhocusWire.
Now, we’re scaling in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) and hospitality ecosystem — helping event organizers and hotels maximize occupancy while making travel more inclusive.

Role Overview
As Partnership Lead, you’ll spearhead SplitStay’s expansion in the MICE and hospitality market.
You’ll forge strategic alliances with event organisers, event management solution providers and ticketing / registration platforms — embedding SplitStay into the event travel ecosystem.
Your work will directly drive growth, visibility, and real-world impact in how the world travels and connects.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and engage with event organisers, ticketing platforms, and travel-tech providers within the MICE/hospitality sector.
* Negotiate and close partnership agreements (LOIs, pilot collaborations, co-marketing campaigns) that align with SplitStay’s brand and growth strategy.
* Develop partner-onboarding processes, referral or revenue-share models, and joint go-to-market plans specific to hotels, events & large groups.
* Represent SplitStay at flagship industry events such as IMEX, The Meetings Show, and major travel-tech conferences — building visibility and uncovering new partnership opportunities.
* Collaborate with Founder (Ruben Vanhees) & internal team on decks, pitches and partnership proposals; track metrics, report progress and continuously optimise partnership performance.
* Build long-term partner relationships and grow SplitStay’s footprint in key markets (global event hubs).
Candidate Profile
* 2+ years of experience in partnerships or business development within hospitality, event management, or travel tech.
* Existing network in the MICE/hospitality sector is a major plus (event organisers and ticketing platforms).
* Exceptional negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
* Entrepreneurial mindset — self-starter comfortable in early-stage environments.
* Fluent in English (additional languages such as Dutch, French, German, or Spanish are an advantage).
* Purpose-driven: motivated to make travel more inclusive, sustainable, and connected.
What You Get
* Opportunity to join a fast-growing startup with global ambition in travel and hospitality.
* Flexible, remote-friendly work setup with ownership and creative autonomy.
* Access to a global network of mentors, investors, and event industry leaders.
* Attractive performance-based compensation — partnership-driven commission, bonus structure, and future equity potential.
