Your Role
As a Junior Facility Engineer, you'll support and execute facility projects across our logistics network—delivering safe, efficient, and compliant solutions that meet both client needs and Kuehne+Nagel standards. From project coordination to technical design and on-site execution, this is your chance to gain hands-on experience in engineering and project management within a global leader in logistics.
Your Responsibilities
1. Coordinate facility projects with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
2. Support the Contract Logistics Real Estate Project Manager with timely project reporting and updates.
3. Ensure all customer-specific quality and safety standards are embedded in each phase.
4. Oversee project lifecycle: from concept design, permits, and risk analysis to construction follow-up and execution.
5. Assist with budget tracking and documentation throughout the project.
6. Manage the facility handover process and support the operational transition to business-as-usual.
7. Prepare and review essential technical documents such as PRDs, method statements, and punch lists.
8. Ensure continuous compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Your Skills and Experiences
9. Degree in Facility Management, Civil/Construction/Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
10. Basic knowledge of engineering operations and facility management practices.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
12. Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; additional language skills are a plus.
13. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
14. Self-motivated, organized, and a strong team player with a proactive mindset.
15. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
