IT Service Desk Agent

Our client, a major player in the Antwerp port in the field of transport applications, is looking for a good long-term service desk employee!

Your Profile:

- You have pursued education in IT-related fields and boast initial relevant work experience in a similar capacity. Exposure to maritime or industrial environments is advantageous.
- Possess broad general IT knowledge encompassing Windows Operating Systems, Office 365, Skype for Business, Networking (TCP/IP), and fundamental server management (Windows 2003/2008/2012, AD, and Exchange).
- Fluent in Dutch with proficient English communication skills, both spoken and written; French proficiency is a bonus.
- A proactive learner, eager to grasp and support our client's specific systems and applications.
- Capable of both independent and team-based work, displaying adaptability.
- Driven by results, consistently striving for top quality, with a strong customer-centric approach, taking ownership and initiative.
- Proud, motivated, energetic, ambitious, communicative, and a true team player.
- Possess a healthy dose of analytical thinking.
- Hold an ITIL Foundation certification and a B driver's license.

Your Responsibilities:

- Take charge of first-line support, conducting remote and on-site support tasks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal customers regarding all IT-related queries. Ensure all calls are carefully logged, analyzed, assigned, addressed, and resolved within set standards, procedures, and SLAs.
- Monitor outstanding incidents and involve relevant support groups and/or business partners as necessary, maintaining communication with end-users.
- Handle the configuration and installation of End User Devices.
- Maintain ICT equipment administration (Asset Management) and contribute to system documentation.
- Oversee Stock Management responsibilities.
- Monitor systems and carry out operational tasks.
- Work in a shift pattern.
- Proactively seek to enhance service quality continuously.
- Serve as an IT ambassador.
- Report to the IT Service Manager.
