VALIDATION ENGINEER - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITIONJob Summary:We are looking for a motivated and experienced Validation Engineer to join our Analog IC development team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the performance, functionality, and robustness of complex analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits before they reach production. You will define test plans, develop automated test solutions, and perform detailed silicon characterization across voltage, temperature, and process corners. Working closely with design, applications, systems, and test teams, you will play a key role in ensuring our ICs meet strict quality and performance standards for a wide range of applications, including power management, signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, and communication systems.This is an excellent opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge analog technologies and influence the success of next-generation semiconductor products.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for analog and mixed-signal ICs, including functional, parametric, and performance testing.Design and implement automated test setups using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and source measure units (SMUs).Write scripts for data acquisition, analysis, and test automation using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent tools.Perform silicon bring-up and in-depth characterization across PVT (process, voltage, temperature) corners.Analyze measurement data, identify anomalies, debug silicon behavior, and collaborate with design teams to root cause and resolve issues.Generate detailed validation reports and documentation to support product qualification and release to production.Interface with cross-functional teams including Design, Product/Test Engineering, Applications, and Quality to align validation efforts with project goals.Ensure compliance with internal and industry standards including ESD, EMC, reliability, and regulatory requirements.Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies, lab processes, and automation frameworks.Required Qualifications:B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.3+ years of hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal IC validation or characterization.Solid understanding of analog circuit fundamentals (e.g., op-amps, ADCs, DACs, regulators, filters, oscillators).Proficient in using lab instrumentation for electrical measurements and debugging.Experience with test automation and scripting (Python preferred; MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar accepted).Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills with a keen attention to detail.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.Experience validating power management ICs (PMICs), sensor front-ends, audio ICs, or RF/mixed-signal products.Familiarity with ATE (Automated Test Equipment) platforms and post-silicon validation flows.Knowledge of semiconductor process variation and device physics.Background in PCB design, soldering/rework, or lab hardware development is a plus.The Offer:A permanent, full-time employment contractA salary & benefits package commensurate with experiencePlease send over your CV to tom.walker@vividresourcing.com or call me on +32 (0) 3 318 00 74.
