Legal Support Specialist
You will be part of a team that provides smooth, accurate and pragmatic legal advice to all stakeholders.
The mission of this position is to support the legal team as a whole and the general counsel and/or his direct reports in particular. You will also support corporate legal teams with regulatory and privacy matters.
Your key responsibilities
* Foster efficiency within the legal team by implementing processes, including reporting and budgeting procedures for internal and external stakeholders.
* Take ownership of legal tooling - devise structures - coordinate team charters, business cases, operating documentation and operating models, in support of general counsel.
* Support privacy compliance by analyzing processes and translating them into privacy policies; monitoring and coordinating privacy compliance such as tracking cookie banners and data processing agreements with vendors; inventoring processes in the register of processing activities; inventoring data collection points and verifying appropriate privacy disclaimers; collaborating on privacy by design by following up on stated privacy requirements; training employees and merchants with privacy training; analyzing and managing privacy incidents, taking actions to stop data breaches and preparing reporting to the Data Protection Authority; responding to requests for GDPR rights escalated by the first line team. Coordinate the process regarding the exercise of these rights.
* Maintain and update corporate administration tools containing data of group companies and participations; follow up on publications, prepare director changes and delegation decisions, etc.
* Support regulatory reporting and confidentiality commitments in light of information barriers.

About our ideal candidate
* A Bachelor's degree in legal practice or a related field along with relevant experience.
* A skill and/or strong interest in project management and organization.
* Experience in organizing and supporting business processes in a legal context.
* Skill in using office technology and software, including MS Office and specific legal management software.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, mainly in Dutch and English.
* Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with team members, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
* Ability to work independently, but also as a team player contributing to the common goal.
* Ability to liaise fluently with external stakeholders to initiate and follow up on processes in consultation with law firms, notaries, clerks' offices with the necessary fluency, courtesy and skill.
