Médecins Du Monde Belgique

Description de l'offre

WHO ARE WE ? Médecins du Monde is an international medical development NGO that is part of an international network. We provide medical assistance to vulnerable groups in Belgium and around the world. We want universal health coverage where everyone has access to healthcare without barriers. In Belgium and around the world, our projects are aimed at all those who do not have or no longer have access to healthcare. In particular, they are structured around five areas: people on the margins of society; migrants or displaced persons; and victims of crises or conflicts. To carry out our mission, we rely on three pillars: Care: providing real access to healthcare for populations. Changing: more than just helping, we want to bring about long-term change. Testifying: we do not remain silent. Thanks to our experience and our presence in the field, we challenge the authorities with facts, figures and realities. Our projects are guided by a set of values shared by our entire organisation: social justice, empowerment, independence, commitment and balance. CONTEXT The Humanitarian Hub is a front-line reception and orientation centre, open during the day, which brings together a multitude of services and partners for people on a migration journey whose access to fundamental rights is restricted or even compromised. The Humanitarian Hub is coordinated by a consortium comprising Médecins du Monde, the Belgian Red Cross and BelRefugees. The Humanitarian Hub is distinguished by its cross-cutting approach: bringing together, in a single location and with harmonised opening hours, a multidisciplinary range of services capable of responding to a wide spectrum of often interconnected needs. Thanks to the coordinated organisation of 14 services, the Hub addresses basic needs (food, hygiene, clothing, shelter), access to healthcare and socialisation, as well as specific needs related to certain situations of vulnerability (women, minors, children, elderly people). In a context of limited human resources, the Humanitarian Hub operates on the basis of strong solidarity between teams and the pooling of responsibilities. Team members are required to contribute, beyond their main remit, to the continuity and quality of the Hub's services, in accordance with its strategy and guidelines. Each role involves close collaboration, flexibility and the ability to propose concrete solutions to serve users according to the following cross-cutting principles: An approach focused on the rights, dignity and autonomy of individuals. Neutrality, non-discrimination and fairness in guidance. Continuous improvement of the quality and consistency of the pathways.
