On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled Level 7 Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Production Support Engineer to join a dynamic enterprise environment.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Start Date: As soon as possible
Engagement Type: Freelancers or independent consultants only (must be able to manage own payroll)
The Role
In this position, you will take ownership of production reliability and operational efficiency. You will work closely with Development, Operations, and Product teams to ensure scalable, stable, and high-performing systems.
Your mission: reduce manual toil, improve observability, and optimize end-to-end delivery processes.
What You’ll Do
Automate manual operational processes and improve system reliability
Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Operations, and Product teams
Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable high-quality releases
Support critical production systems and manage incident resolution
Optimize database performance and enhance query efficiency
Implement monitoring and observability best practices
Strengthen release processes from development through production
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, scripting, and software design
Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles
Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL features
Experience in database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization
Tools & Platforms
Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace
Hands-on experience in production support environments and ITIL processes
Strong experience with CI/CD tools including Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Groovy, and Chef
Proven experience designing and implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines from development to production
