ASSIGNMENT The Centre of Macromolecular Chemistry (CMaC, 4 PI's) within the department of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry (WE07) is seeking a temporary Principal Investigator (10% docent position) to coordinate and support (including co-supervision) components of various ERC projects (advanced grant and Proof of Concept) and ERC-funded applications (Synergy) from a CMaC PI (Filip Du Prez), and to translate cross-group synergies within and outside CMaC into project applications. We welcome applications in the field of precision macromolecular chemistry, focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and application of uniform synthetic organic macromolecules. Academic research You will develop innovative and internationally recognized research in the field of Precision Macromolecular Chemistry. Institutional and societal engagement Based on your expertise and experience, you will contribute to the functioning of the university and department, and take on external assignments. PROFILE Experience You have a strong academic CV with international visibility in the required field, as evidenced by recent publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals in the field of precision macromolecular chemistry. You are able to initiate and supervise scientific research and acquire the necessary funds for this. You have teaching skills focused on developing and realizing academic competencies in university students. You work in a collaborative manner and integrate easily into the department and faculty. You seek opportunities within and outside the university and actively use your network to do so. Your CV already explicitly demonstrates leadership potential.
