Benelux Senior Category Development Manager
YOUR POSITION:
As a Benelux Senior Category Development Manager, you are responsible for creating and driving the category vision within Sigma Benelux. Co-creating the vision with different local and international stakeholders, you will be the guardian of that vision and the most important person in translating the vision into a customer-facing story. Actively promoting that vision towards the external stakeholders and turning this vision into joint category business plans with external stakeholders, will be one of your key objectives.
Your role will also cover the implementation of the category vision across the different customers and channels. For this a strong build will be expected in gathering the relevant category insights and making sure these insights get translated in both internal and external category development plans. An intense collaborative spirit towards sales and marketing and external customers will be pivotal in this role.
The category vision will have to land across all different dimensions, being primarily all P’s within the (trade) marketing mix. A strong vision across all dimensions (assortment, product, shelf, promo, price) will have to be developed and enriched by international concepts, such as Revenue Growth Management.
The delivery of range optimization plans, promotional activation plans, shelf insights and recommendations, and regular business reviews with customers are of critical importance in this role. All of which have to lead to the delivery of the market share and sales driven KPI’s across all of the relevant channels.
You will have the direct lead over 1 Junior Category Manager for the Belgium market and 1 Category Manager for the NL market.
You will report into the Benelux Sales Director, who sits on the Benelux MT and reports into the CEO.
YOUR COMPETENCIES :
* You have a university education, specializing in marketing is an asset.
* You can look back on at least 10 years of relevant experience in a category management leadership position within FMCG/retail.
* You are an all-round category manager with strong analytical and communication skills combined with a creative mind.
* You are results-oriented.
* You can tackle things on a project basis, with a pragmatic approach.
* You have a positive attitude and approach challenges as opportunities.
* You are a team player and make contacts easily.
* You demonstrate the necessary maturity, stress resistance and flexibility.
* You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
