Responsibilities
* Governance of external partners assisting with recurring compliance processes for direct and indirect tax compliance in Brazil & Chile.
* Contracting, scope and fee negotiation with external partners.
* Monitoring KPIs and balanced scorecard for tax compliance activities.
* Ensuring efficient data access and collaboration with finance teams.
* Ensuring timely filing of direct and indirect tax filings, including review of tax computations with support of external partners.
* Partnering with GS finance, Business Finance and other organizations to enable an efficient and integrated tax compliance process.
* Working closely with the Tax Counsel and the Tax Planning Group on local tax aspects of transactions and planning structures, Foreign Subsidies Regulation reporting, etc.
* Working closely with the Global Transfer Pricing and Disputes Group on transfer pricing documentation, tax audits & litigations and advance pricing agreements.
* Working closely with the Global Reporting on Pillar 2 & country‑by‑country reporting in local jurisdictions.
* Advising the tax leadership team on regional tax compliance issues.
* Providing tax advice and support to stakeholders and business partners on direct and indirect tax matters in the region.
* Leading and managing local tax controversy including tax audits, administrative proceedings and litigation in alignment with Global Planning and Disputes Group.
* Managing the tax budget for regional tax compliance.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including corporate and indirect tax experience.
* Broad‐based technical tax knowledge, with expertise preferred in US GAAP tax accounting, tax compliance and tax technology.
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Tax.
* A self‑directed, detail‑oriented individual with a strong background in tax and financial processes.
* Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
* Strong partnering skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
* Travel up to 5% of the time.
