IT Support Specialist Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in Brussels. This role involves providing first- and second-line support, incident management, and problem analysis to ensure excellent service delivery and high first-call resolution rates.
The position requires both remote and on-site support, with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational best practices. Key responsibilities include serving as the main point of contact for IT issues, recording and tracking incidents, troubleshooting technical problems, and performing testing and administration of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues and provide timely and effective support.
* Record, track, and manage incidents and requests to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
* Perform configuration and installation tasks for PC environments, including Windows operating systems and applications.
* Conduct testing and administration of applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
* Draft technical documentation to capture troubleshooting steps, best practices, and solutions.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address complex technical issues.
* Maintain a proactive mindset to identify and implement process improvements and stay up-to-date with industry standards and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based systems.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* A good understanding of mobile device platforms and core mobile applications.
* ITIL v4 Foundation certification is mandatory.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in IT support or service desk roles.
* Fluency in English and French (written and oral) is required.
* Additional fluency in German (written and oral) is required for a portion of the team.
* Excellent communication skills with a diplomatic, empathetic, and user-oriented approach.
* Highly autonomous with strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing user satisfaction.
