ARE YOU OUR NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPER?


We’re looking for a driven, hands-on and strategically minded Business Developer to strengthen our Business Development team and actively contribute to the growth of Testachats/Testaankoop.


This role sits at the intersection of strategic thinking, partnership building and commercial execution. You’ll join an ambitious team exploring alternative revenue streams, developing B2B and B2B2C activities, and turning innovative ideas into concrete, measurable results.


This role is designed for someone who is comfortable working autonomously, while staying deeply connected to the team. You take ownership naturally, move things forward proactively, and know when to involve others to make ideas and projects more robust.


You’ll be trusted to identify opportunities, shape them into concrete propositions, and bring them to market. You understand that brand reputation creates both commercial leverage and reputational risk, and you know how to navigate that with maturity and care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO


Support business development and market opportunities

* Identify, develop and close new B2B and B2B2C opportunities, with a strong focus on sustainable and value-driven partnerships.
* Expand existing products and services through cross-sell and up-sell initiatives, maximizing long-term value.
* Translate strategic ideas and concepts into concrete, market-ready opportunities, working closely with internal experts and teammates to move quickly from insight to execution.
* Act as a commercial strategist, connecting market trends, partner needs and brand positioning into relevant business propositions.
* Leverage your professional network in Belgium to open doors, build credibility and accelerate partnerships.


Contribute to the development of B2B events and initiatives

* Play an active role in the commercial development of B2B events, including prospecting, pitching and closing partnerships with sponsors, exhibitors and partners.
* Turn events into business opportunities, in close collaboration with internal teams and external event partners.
* Support the development of event-related value propositions, ensuring alignment with Testachats/Testaankoop’s brand, mission and reputational standards.


Build and manage strong partnerships

* Actively help position Testachats/Testaankoop as a credible and strategic partner for companies, institutions and organizations.
* Lead commercial discussions with decision-makers, including senior and C-level stakeholders.
* Negotiate and structure partnerships in close collaboration with internal experts (legal, research, marketing, product).
* Identify where Testachats/Testaankoop’s brand strength can create commercial value, while actively managing reputational considerations together with internal stakeholders.
* Represent Testachats/Testaankoop at networking events, meetings and industry-related initiatives.


Execute with structure, ownership and collaboration

* Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, proposal development, negotiation and closing.
* Develop and maintain clear account and prospect plans, aligned with team priorities and growth objectives.
* Ensure regular follow-up of the sales funnel, ongoing projects and KPIs.
* Prepare and deliver presentations and pitches adapted to different audiences and levels of expertise.
* Work closely with your manager and colleagues to ensure alignment, clarity and impact.


Contribute to a growing Business Development team

* Play an active role in shaping the Business Development roadmap and priorities alongside your Business Development Manager and teammates.
* Share market insights and field intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
* Actively reinforce a team culture built on results, trust, collaboration and continuous learning.


WHO YOU ARE


* A strategic doer: able to connect big-picture thinking with hands-on execution and concrete results.
* A commercially minded professional who understands how value, trust and long-term impact drive sustainable business.
* A strong B2B expert, comfortable building partnerships, navigating complex stakeholder environments and closing deals that matter.
* An autonomous yet collaborative team player, who takes ownership while actively engaging with colleagues.
* A confident communicator, at ease with senior decision-makers and capable of translating ideas into clear, compelling propositions.
* A relationship builder, with a strong professional network in Belgium and the ability to activate it in a credible, value-driven way.
* A pragmatic innovator, curious about new business models, partnerships, events and initiatives that can be brought to market quickly.
* With proven experience in business development or sales-related roles, and a track record of turning opportunities into great results.
* Native in French and/or Dutch, with excellent command of the other, and strong professional knowledge of English.
