Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you are the face of ZEISS at the customer’s site. You are never in the same place and every day looks different. You install, maintain, and repair equipment, identify opportunities, and provide optimal service to customers. You are responsible for activities within the Benelux region, with a focus on Belgium. Your Benelux team consists of 17 technical colleagues, and you report to the Regional Service Manager BeneLux.
What does your day look like?
* You are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ZEISS high-end medical equipment.
* You provide customers with explanations and training on first-line support for these instruments.
* You identify new needs among existing customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
* You manage administration, measuring tools, test equipment, and technical documentation, and you are involved in the setup of congresses when required.
* You connect instruments to the hospital network.
What do we expect from you?
* You hold a higher technical degree or equivalent experience, preferably in electronics / precision mechanics, with an interest in optics.
* You have a strong affinity with automation, networking, and IT.
* You are creative and think in terms of total solutions for our customers.
* This is a responsible role in the medical sector where working under pressure may be required, so we expect you to be stress-resistant and flexible.
* To communicate effectively with customers, you speak Dutch, French, and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
* Driving is part of the job, so a valid driver’s license is a strict requirement.
