The role of Aerodynamics Expert is a critical one in our organization, requiring an individual with advanced technical knowledge and expertise in the field of aerodynamics.
Key responsibilities include providing strategic guidance and support to R&T projects and new product development, ensuring the performance and designs of aerodynamic systems, and contributing to the definition of R&T roadmaps by imagining future technologies and design methods required to achieve our long-term strategic vision.
Responsibilities:
* Technical Expertise: Providing technical expertise throughout all product life stages, for R&T products, in development, or already in production and in service, validating team results, and ensuring the technical compliance of projects;
* Audit and Validation: Auditing and validating technical choices during design reviews and product validation for compressors;
* Roadmap Definition: Contributing to the definition of R&T roadmaps by imagining future technologies and design methods required to achieve our long-term strategic vision;
* Design Team Expertise: Maintaining and developing the design team's expertise by leading workshops, representing our organization within the group, and acting as a mentor for future generations of experts;
* Knowledge Management: Ensuring knowledge management within the teams by implementing tools based on clients' feedback and training teams regarding new design practices;
* Critical Project Support: Supporting teams in critical projects by providing expertise to resolve technical crises and ensuring the quality and safety of our products;
* University and Research Partnership: Ensuring a strong technical partnership with universities and research centers by developing your network and collaborating on research projects.
To excel in this role, you will require a combination of academic qualifications and industry experience. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the aerodynamic design of aircraft compressors or engines is essential, along with proficiency in aerodynamic simulation tools and methods.
In addition to technical skills, you must also possess excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to various audiences and make sure knowledge is shared effectively.
Requirements:
* Education: An Engineering Degree with a specialization in aerodynamics;
* Experience: Over 10 years of experience in the aerodynamic design of aircraft compressors or engines;
* Expertise: Advanced expertise in compressor aerodynamics and a good understanding of the performance and operability of complete engines;
* Languages: Fluent in technical English for communication with international counterparts, with the willingness to quickly acquire a functional level of French for navigating our Knowledge Management resources and daily interactions within our subsidiary;
* Additional Skills: Familiarity with mechanical part design techniques, knowledge of aerothermal heat exchangers (a plus).
