We're hiring a managing editor to lead early-morning EU political and economic coverage and shape our daily client briefings.
The role
* Fully remote, freelance role
* From
4 hours per week
, typically
two 2-hour early-morning weekday shifts
(flexible on days)
- Shift times: 05:00–07:00 UK
- Responsibilities include
monitoring EU news
,
editing and proofreading copy
,
writing clear, accurate headlines
, and ensuring overall quality and consistency of the briefing, in coordination with other editors
About you
* From a
wires, major newsroom, or policy-focused publication background
(Reuters, Bloomberg, AFP, FT, Politico, Euractiv, etc.)
- Excellent
news judgement and the ability to prioritise
stories by impact and relevance
- Native-level English essential
; other EU languages an advantage
- Rate: £35/hour
, depending on experience
