Responsibilities
for the Senior Project Manager (MEP)
Project Leadership & Delivery
1. Take full ownership of MEP and FIA packages from pre‑construction through installation, commissioning and final handover
2. Act as the senior MEP lead on site, coordinating closely with construction, CSA, commissioning and client teams
Programme & Commercial Control
3. Manage and maintain detailed MEP programmes aligned with the overall construction schedule
4. Monitor progress against milestones, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
5. Support cost control activities, including change management, valuations and commercial reporting
Technical & Quality Management
6. Ensure all MEP systems are installed with design intent, specifications and applicable standards
7. Oversee technical submittals, RFIs, method statements and commissioning documentation
Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management
8. Manage multiple specialist MEP subcontractors and suppliers across mechanical, electrical, fire protection and controls packages
9. Ensure subcontractors operate in compliance with programme, quality and safety expectations
10. Maintain strong working relationships with consultants, client representatives and internal stakeholders
Health, Safety & Compliance
11. Champion a strong safety culture across all MEP activities
12. Support audits, inspections and statutory approvals related to MEP systems
Reporting & Communication
13. Provide accurate and timely progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
14. Identify emerging risks or constraints and communicate clear recovery or mitigation plans
15. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Experience required for the Senior Project Manager (MEP)
16. Experience in construction project management with a strong focus on MEP delivery
17. Capable of delivering MEP packages for complex Data Centre projects
18. Prior experience on data centres, pharmaceutical, life sciences, advanced manufacturing or similar regulated environments is required
19. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
20. Experience managing commissioning, integration and handover of complex building services
21. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and coordinated BIM models
22. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
23. Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are advantageous
24. Working knowledge of common construction contracts (e.g. FIDIC, NEC or similar)

27. Strong communication skills with the ability to operate at both site and senior stakeholder level
