Functional Business Analyst – Banking / Insurance :
📍 Brussels | Hybrid (50% on-site) - Start: ASAP
Ariad is looking for a Functional Business Analyst to join its teams on transformation programmes within the banking and/or insurance sector.
The role is aimed at a medior profile with at least 3 years of experience in functional analysis, comfortable operating on both the business and IT sides.
What you'll do :
You'll be the key link between business and technical teams — in practice:
- Gather and challenge business requirements
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
- Model business processes and document target solutions
- Work closely with development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Support testing activities (preparation, execution, validation)
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical choices
- Contribute to digital transformation and process optimisation initiatives
Your profile
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst
- Background in banking, insurance, or a heavily regulated environment
- Solid grasp of business processes, stakeholder management, and digital ecosystems
- Comfortable switching between business and technical interlocutors
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, process modelling, and functional documentation
- Involved in testing phases (UAT, functional testing, validation)
- Clear communicator, good facilitator, analytical mindset with a pragmatic edge
We're looking for someone who can hold the big picture while still diving into the detail when it matters.
Nice to have:
- Experience in Agile environments
- Interest or background in Project Management, coordination, or Product Ownership
- Familiarity with digital platforms, customer journeys, data initiatives, or process automation
Languages
- English mandatory
- French and/or Dutch required
