The Technical Support Data Engineer is responsible for the technical quality, architectural alignment, and enforcement of standards within the Data Engineering teams.
This role acts as the primary technical reference and serves as the main interface between the Data Engineers and the Data Platform Architects.
The selected candidate must come with a level of expertise allowing direct intervention on critical components of the Azure Data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
• Technical Leadership o Serve as the technical authority for Data Engineers within a data team o Conduct pull request validations, peer reviews, and ensure full compliance with data engineering standards.
1. Provide coaching and guidance to junior Data Engineers.
2. Contribute to the continuous improvement and maturity of data engineering practices within the organisation.
• Architecture & Standards o Act as the single point of contact between Data Platform Architects and engineering teams.
3. Translate architectural guidelines into actionable technical instructions for engineering teams.
4. Recommend alternative technical solutions depending on the targeted DWH layer (ingestion, transformation, consumption…).
5. Participate in the definition, evolution, and continuous improvement of the data platform and the data engineering standards.
6. Provide structured feedback from field experience to refine practices and tooling.
• Delivery & Operational Expertise
7. Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines within the Azure ecosystem.
8. Demonstrate expert proficiency in: o Azure Synapse o Azure Data Factory (ADF)
9. Mapping Data Flow (MDF)
10. Databricks
11. PySpark
12. SQL
• Able to support the data modeler to ensure robust, scalable, and well-modelled data structures, with strong expertise in dimensional modelling (star schema, DWH concepts).
• Contribute to performance optimization, data quality, and operational reliability.
• Optional : Experience using Power BI and experience with semantic data modelling.

13. You have at least 3 to 5 years of professional experiences in IT
14. If you are at least fluent in FR/ENG or NL/ENG it’s best
