Exciting time to join our client as Group IT Chief Financial Officer
Our client is a global leader in testing services industry, providing a comprehensive range of solutions across multiple industries, including food, environmental, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic testing.
Role Overview : Our customer’s IT activities are extensive and complex, representing 5-6% of Group revenues and covering in-house solution development, deployment across 1,300+ sites, infrastructure operations, and ongoing digital transformation.
The Group IT CFO is responsible for building a financial planning and analysis framework to ensure that all IT costs, central, regional, and local, are budgeted, monitored, allocated, and recharged transparently and reliably. This supports decision-making for senior management, IT leadership, and local business teams.
As a new role, the Group IT CFO will build and lead a team of 10+ controllers, leveraging existing central and regional/local IT controlling resources.
Key Responsibilities :
* Implement standardized financial processes and tools for IT budgeting, reporting, and cost allocation, including zero-based budgeting and activity-based costing (ABC).
* Provide strong financial governance and transparency for all IT spend, ensuring reliable intercompany recharges and enabling data-driven resource allocation decisions.
* Support major strategic IT initiatives, digitalization programs, cloud transformation, and software license management through robust financial planning and performance analysis.
* Provide day-to-day leadership of teams, processes, and financial activities, collaborating with HR, IT, Marketing, and Internal Consulting.
* Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and controlling (financials and headcount) for all IT-related spend.
* Develop sourcing and standardization strategies with Group Purchasing to achieve procurement efficiencies and savings.
Qualifications :
* Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
* 8–12 years of experience in IT Finance, including transformation projects (ABC, zero-based budgeting).
Required Skills :
* Proven leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
* Strong project and change management capabilities with the ability to challenge established practices.
* Solid finance expertise and a track record of improving financial processes and systems.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with C-level executives.
