Overview
To support an important long-term (3 to 4 years) project for a client in the region of Ghent (Belgium), we are searching for an experienced Project Engineer Electricity (freelance/employee).

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors based on project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.
Responsibilities
1. Managing multiple subprojects (>10 million euros), primarily electrical, considering complex brownfield conditions and production constraints.
2. Collaborating closely with EPCM and permitting partners on scope definition, reviewing schedules, and enforcing standards.
3. Acting as the main contact for technical discussions with suppliers and engineering contractors.
4. Reviewing and defining technical requirements, designs, and offers from a multidisciplinary perspective, supported by discipline engineers.
5. Leading challenging electrical design concepts and ensuring the selection of the best available technology.
6. Ensuring integration and validation of brownfield adaptations while preserving existing operations.
7. Guiding reviews and approvals of documents, drawings, and change requests.
Qualifications
1. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with a background in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation.
2. Proven expertise in Project Management.
3. Goal-oriented, results-driven, proactive leadership, and attention to detail.
4. Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with senior executives and stakeholders.
5. Proven people management skills.
6. Over 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer in a similar role.
7. Broad technical background; experience in areas such as electro-mechanical installations, high voltage networks, automation, etc., is a plus.
8. Language skills: English (project language), Dutch (prerequisite).
