DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS
Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:Facilitates participatory design, design sprints, conversational designPrepares quantitative and qualitative research and analysisField studiesUsability studiesUser requirements researchTask flowsHeuristic evaluationsSurveysSynthesis of UX research, web analytics data, as well as surveys, legacy and organizational goalsPresents reportsUX writingProblem solving attitudeData-driven decision-makingService designCoach, mentor and transfer UX knowledge across the organisationCommunicate the organisation's strategic vision and goals from an end-user' point of viewWorks closely with business and cross functional teams to reach desired organizational goalsParticipation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users. Regular liaison between user services and development teams to ensure requirements are properly implemented
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:Experience as a UX consultant, UX researcher, Digital communicator or equivalentExperience with responsive design for web-applicationA portfolio that shows the ability to work across various industriesExperience with Design tools such as Figma, InvisionKnowledge of high-fidelity prototyping, wireframing, interaction flows and information architectureExperience with usability audits and usability testingExperience with accessibility tools such as NVDA, WAVE is an assetExperience with WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2Experience with web technologies and standards (e.g. HTML, XML, CSS, SEO, web analytics)Knowledge of Drupal (10x, 11x) and PHP is an assetExperience with modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue) is an assetKnowledge of Europa Component Library (ECL) is an assetKnowledge of GITExperience with of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)Knowledge of Jenkins CI/CD toolKnowledge of agile development principlesAbility to apply high quality standards and work towards deadlinesAnalysis and problem-solving skillsVery good communications skills, both verbal (e.g.: presentations, seminars, etc.), and written (e.g.: reports, articles, etc.)Develop trusted relationships with business managers to help them integrate user experience capabilities as a strategic assetCapability to write clear and structured documents.Knowledge of the Commission's Erasmus+ programme is an assetKnowledge of the Commission's European Solidarity Corps programme and its programme guide is an asset.Knowledge of the following tools: MS Teams, Signal
