Your mission:
The Senior Solutions Engineer – 5G Industrial Devices leads the analysis, selection and validation of new 5G Stand Alone devices or make evolve existing ones (i.e. based on business, operational or regulatory requirements,) for all Orange Belgium and Orange Luxembourg network services, including Industry 4.0. Is fully accountable for taking all the appropriate actions from the requirements to the move in production.
As Senior Solutions Engineer – 5G Industrial Devices, you:
1. Analyze and assess devices capabilities to fulfil business, regulatory and operational requirements
2. Realize full devices testing / validation for network services and functions including on the field connectivity and mobility / continuity tests at the application level
3. Evaluate and make recommendations for the future network functions / evolutions considering the devices technical evolutions on the market
4. Generate methods, procedure and technical documents regarding technical solution and evolution (architecture, impact analysis) for 5G Stand Alone devices management
5. Act as a technical interface with Orange Group, suppliers, other operators, regulatory institutions, to gather requirements and technical solutions for 5G Stand Alone devices
6. Support Industry 4.0 customers for devices configuration, usage optimization and integration including security aspects from a network perspective
7. 5G Stand Alone devices troubleshooting for specific customer slices in coordination with partners and internal experts
Specific expertise
8. 5G Stand Alone devices
9. Devices Validation including carrier bundle (mobile data, VoLTE…)
10. Devices Fleet Management protocols and systems
11. Industrial devices knowledge would be a plus
Your profile
12. You have a university degree in Telecommunications, or Computer Science
13. Client management and negotiation skills
14. Strong team player
15. English is mandatory with a good knowledge of French or Dutch
Specific requirement:
A positive security advice from the National Security Authority is required for this role and the HR team will support you in the process after contract signature.
