To strengthen their Software Factory team, they are looking for a CI/CD & Jenkins Engineer with strong Java expertise.
About the Role
You will join the core team responsible for maintaining and improving the CI/CD pipelines that support hundreds of developers across the organisation. Your main focus will be on Jenkins, Java-based pipeline components, and the related tooling ecosystem (Eclipse, SCM, build tools).
This is a technical, hands-on role combining Java knowledge, pipeline engineering, and tooling support within a highly secured banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain, support, and optimize the Jenkins pipeline framework (written in Java).
* Monitor and assess Jenkins core updates, plugin upgrades, and security advisories to ensure a robust and secure CI/CD environment.
* Perform Jenkins upgrades and ensure plugin stability and compatibility.
* Troubleshoot pipeline issues, build failures, and integration problems.
* Manage and upgrade the Eclipse IDE on Windows, including plugin configurations.
* Maintain up-to-date technical documentation covering build processes, configurations, and pipeline logic.
* Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless build and deployment operations.
Required Qualifications
* Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+).
* Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines, and CI/CD automation in a UNIX environment.
* Experience working with Eclipse IDE, including plugin management.
* Familiarity with build tools such as Ant and Maven.
* Good understanding of Web Services (SOAP).
* Solid knowledge of SCM tools: Subversion and Git.
