Freelance PMO (Project Management Officer)
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months, extendable
Start Date: ASAP
Language Requirements: English and either French or Dutch
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Freelance PMO to join our team in Brussels. The PMO will support project governance, ensure adherence to standards, and enhance project delivery capabilities across multiple programs or projects. You will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to drive transparency, efficiency, and control across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
* Support project and program governance, including documentation, tracking, and reporting
* Establish and maintain PMO methodologies, templates, and best practices
* Monitor project performance using KPIs and ensure alignment with strategic goals
* Facilitate risk management, resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting
* Organize and support steering committee meetings and stakeholder communications
* Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
* Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance delivery effectiveness

Requirements
* Proven experience 2+ years as a PMO, project coordinator, or project manager in a complex business or IT environment
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMI, Agile)
* Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, Power BI)
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
* Fluent in English; and either French and/or Dutch is required
