About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6-12 month assignment based in Flanders, Belgium. You will work on mechanical design activities for conveyor-based systems within a production industry, supporting the engineering team on component design, revisions, and documentation. The team primarily uses SolidWorks, with PDM tools applied depending on project needs.
Responsibilities:
* Design mechanical components and conveyor systems using SolidWorks
* Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure alignment
* Revise and adapt designs based on standards and feedback
* Manage documentation and version control within PDM environments
* Support design reviews and implement improvements when required
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in industrial environments
* Proficient with SolidWorks for 3D mechanical design
* Knowledge of PDM systems and structured workflows
* Familiarity with conveyor designs or food & beverage machinery is a plus
* English required; Dutch or French is a bonus
* Willingness to work mostly onsite
