With over 15,000 employees across 9 countries, Nidec Global Appliance manufactures and commercializes products for home and commercial applications, including refrigeration solutions, motors for washing machines, dryers and dishwashers, as well as components for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems (HVAC). Its focus is to deliver a complete and innovative portfolio with high standards of quality, reliability, competitiveness and energy efficiency. The division is part of Nidec Corporation, a global leader in motors and components for a wide variety of industries, with headquarters in Japan.
In addition to collaborating with international units, our department also engages with global suppliers of materials/equipment and universities. Our primary focus is on strategic company projects, particularly those with a large footprint, which we typically lead. In these projects, we interact closely with various internal departments, including Business & Marketing, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Direct and Indirect Procurement. We have three approved international projects with direct participation from the CIE team: Project India, Project ATOM (AT), and Project FMS (CN). Depending on the intern’s nationality, we could potentially align them with one of these projects with the potential to develop key resources for the company. We will select members based on nationality, project, specialty, and academic background to ensure the most efficient use of the available time. Monday to Thursday – 8 hours a day plus one hour for lunch. Friday – 4 hours a day.
* Contributing to the technical detailing of machines and equipment
* Defining the factory layout
* Monitoring equipment tryouts (Initial Tests with Equipments)
* Participating in process dimensional statistics
* Utilizing risk control tools for each process
* Interfacing with multiple company departments, such as Procurement, Finance, Maintenance, Logistics and R&D
Other engineering accepted: civil, electrical, electronics, automotive.

What you’ll be provided with during your stay:
* Transportation – A means of transportation will be provided and paid for.
* Food – 1 meal per day will be provided and paid for.
* Leadership space – AIESEC will be providing leadership training during your experience.
We only accept candidates who are students with active enrollment status, regardless of nationality. VITEM XIII for Mercosul and VITEM IV for other countries – you will require this visa for the duration of the opportunity.
