Job Description: Supply Chain Director at GIMBER
GIMBER is a rapidly growing company in the zero-proof market, known for its spicy, natural ginger drinks. Founded in November 2017, GIMBER aims to revolutionize social drinking with a commitment to quality and sustainability.
We are seeking a Supply Chain Director to lead our Operations & Supply Chain Department, encompassing Procurement, Logistics, Quality, R&D, Production, and Planning. This role involves full responsibility for developing and executing the overall strategy to support our growth on both national and international levels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and develop high-performing teams within the Operations and Supply Chain departments, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
2. Analyze operational flows and procedures to optimize strategies, enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
3. Implement solid (S&OP) planning processes to reduce inventory costs and improve working capital.
4. Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor performance, providing regular reports to executive leadership.
5. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
6. Maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor KPIs, and conduct periodic evaluations to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and ensure quality and delivery performance.
7. Oversee contract management, identify synergies, and develop systems for effective supplier management.
8. Monitor production processes and ensure quality standards for raw materials and finished products at external service providers.
9. Manage a team of 4 direct reports and approximately 10 indirect employees, reporting to the General Manager and participating in the Management Team.
Profile:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with over 5 years of experience in supply chain or operations management, with a proven track record of driving improvements.
* Experience in the Food or FMCG industry, particularly with limited shelf life products, is preferred.
* Strong vendor and supplier management skills.
* Excellent analytical abilities, leveraging data for decision-making.
* Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate challenges.
* Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills, with high empathy.
* Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
* Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing business needs.
* Enthusiastic, energetic, and results-oriented with a service mindset.
* Experience with ERP systems and demand planning tools.
* Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French language skills are advantageous.
