Role description:
We are looking for a senior, independent program manager to support the team in a new project, with relevant experience in ICT transformation program, in large organizations.
Program Manager Proximus NXT Private Cloud consolidation
Proximus NXT Cloud Practice
Context
This Program is a multiyear transformation initiative to consolidate Private Cloud infrastructure and offering across multiple Proximus group entities. The scope includes typical phase out related activities, infrastructure building and migrations of internal and external customers towards alternative Private Cloud, Public Cloud, or hybrid alternatives. It needs to be performed while ensuring operational continuity, contractual compliance, and financial control. The program faces tight deadlines and major challenges in technical migration, customer communication, commercial repositioning, operational readiness, risk management, and inter-entity coordination.
The Program Manager will lead, orchestrate, and accelerate this complex transformation across Belgian and Luxembourg entities, internal practices, external partners, and customer stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1 Program Governance & Leadership
Drive end-to-end planning, execution, and progress tracking of the Program, ensuring delivery against deadlines.
Lead governance ceremonies: Steerco, Core Team, cross stream syncs, and communication tracks. Ensure alignment between Cloud Practice, external providers, other entities, Product Management, Finance, Sales, and Architecture.
Maintain and evolve the Program WBS ensuring sufficient deliverable progress.
2.Migration Strategy & Execution
Oversee customer segmentation, solution mapping, technical scenario validation, and migration waves for external customers, internal customers, and specific environments.
Integrate and manage evolving strategies.
Ensure scenarios remain aligned with the contractual deadline and evolving commercial/technical constraints.
3.Operational Continuity & Risk Management
Ensure Private Cloud stability during transition, monitor major incidents, infrastructure capacity, change processes, and business continuity KPIs.
Maintain the Risk & Issues Log and coordinate action owners across streams (e.g., product gaps, service architects/process managers, contractual risks).
4.Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Prepare and orchestrate communications toward:
Internal customers
External customers
Support account teams in commercial discussions, migration enablement, sales decks validation, and scenario explanation.
5.Financial, Contractual & Vendor Alignment
Coordinate with Finance on P&L impacts, RU model updates, and migration related financial flows.
Work with Legal & Procurement on contract addenda, vendor communications, and parallel transformation programs involving contractual impacts.
Support budget optimization by defining which technical refreshes will or will not be executed before Private Cloud sunset.
6.People & Change Management
Contribute to reskilling plans, talent retention, workforce implications, and new operating model definition.
Facilitate onboarding of new teams, program newcomers, and cross entity collaboration (e.g., Luxembourg partnership and resource sharing tracks).
Required Profile
Professional Experience
Proven experience as Program Manager or Senior Project Manager in large scale IT transformation programs.
Demonstrated background with Cloud migrations, data center transitions, or hybrid cloud architectures.
Experience working with cross functional teams and multi-entity organizations.
Technical Knowledge
Understanding of Private Cloud architectures, VMware environments, hybrid cloud, modern IaaS models.
Knowledge of migration methodologies, capacity & incident management, infrastructure lifecycle, and cloud governance models.
Leadership & Functional Skills
Strong communication skills to handle sensitive internal and external communications.
Ability to structure complex problems, drive scenario definition, and make data driven decisions.
Strong stakeholder management across technical, commercial, legal, and executive teams.
Ability to operate under high pressure with tight deadlines and significant ambiguity.
Tooling & Methodology
Familiarity with program governance, risk management, WBS creation, and project tracking tools.
Comfortable with SharePoint, Teams, and document workflows.
