ACI EUROPE is hiring a Director of Airport Economics responsible for economic policy, competition, connectivity and state aid, reporting to the Deputy Director General.
Scope Promote, through ACI EUROPE, the interests of more than 550 European airports towards EUinstitutions, national regulators and the media;
Provide high-quality support to members through research on air transport markets, airconnectivity, state aid, financial analysis and benchmarking of European airports;
Provide strategic economic insights to support ACI EUROPE’s advocacy and policy positionstowards European institutions and regulators;
Develop ACI EUROPE’s economic positions and provide economic and financial analysis tosupport other policy areas;
Lead and develop the Economics team (2 direct reports), ensuring the delivery of high-qualityeconomic and air connectivity analysis supporting the association’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications Master’s degree in Economics or a related field (required);
Strong expertise in economic research and data analysis, ideally in a regulated industry;
Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in economic policy and data analysis, includingexperience in consulting;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in amulticultural environment;
Experience coordinating and facilitating committee meetings, workshops or task forces;
Experience in public speaking (speaker/panellist at conferences and events);
Ability to build and maintain a strong network with EU and national stakeholders and engageeffectively with policymakers on economic matters;
Ability to produce high-quality economic and statistical analyses and translate them into clearpolicy insights supporting the development of ACI EUROPE’s positions and communications;
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Knowledge of programming or data analysis languages (e.g. SQL or R) is required;
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments.
