The Opportunity
We are supporting a major water treatment project and are looking for a Freelance Electrical Engineer to strengthen the project team during the design and execution phases. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical infrastructure within a technically driven environment, contributing to the delivery of sustainable water and utility solutions.
You will be involved in electrical engineering activities linked to treatment installations, pumping systems, and plant infrastructure, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the project lifecycle.
Project Scope
* Electrical installations for water and wastewater treatment facilities
* Pumping stations, MCCs, control panels, and utility systems
* Support across basic engineering, detailed design, and site execution
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical engineering support from concept through to implementation
* Prepare and review electrical schematics, cable calculations, and technical documentation
* Support installation and commissioning activities on-site
* Coordinate with automation, mechanical, and process teams
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in industrial or infrastructure environments
* Experience within water treatment, utilities, or process industry is highly desirable
* Knowledge of MCCs, motors, pumps, and industrial electrical installations
* Experience with electrical design tools (EPLAN, Caneco, or similar) is a plus
* Able to work independently and take ownership of engineering tasks
* English speaking required; Dutch preferred for on-site communication
