For a banking customer in Brussels, we are searching for a freelance Procurement Expert (Non-IT Categories) to cover maternity leave until January.
Context
The assignment will start ASAP to ensure a smooth handover and provide additional support during a period of high transformation, including the implementation of new procurement tools and increased business demand.
This role requires strong change management capabilities and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Your Mission
* As a Procurement Expert, you will take ownership of non-IT categories and actively contribute to both operational excellence and strategic transformation.
* Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across categories such as: Professional Services, Marketing, HR, Operations Services, Facility Management
* Optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while ensuring quality and risk mitigation
* Manage end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
* Negotiate framework agreements, contracts, and SLAs with suppliers
* Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders, supporting project-specific procurement needs
* Ensure strong contract management and compliance
* Monitor and improve supplier performance in collaboration with the business
* Support the deployment of new procurement tools, driving adoption and change across teams
Profile
* Medior / Senior Profile
* 3–6 years of experience in procurement (consulting experience is a strong asset)
* Proven experience in non-IT categories (Marketing, HR, Professional Services, FM, etc.)
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
* Solid experience in contract management & review
* Good understanding of risk management in procurement
* Comfortable working with Excel and procurement tools
* Experience with RFx processes
* Action-oriented and delivery-focused
* Strong stakeholder management & communication skills
* Ability to drive change in complex environments
* Team player with natural leadership (no direct reports)
* Autonomous and adaptable in a fast-paced context
