As our Experienced Project Field Engineer, you take the lead in managing large and complex energy projects on-site from preparation to final acceptance. You coordinate the erection and commissioning of our installations, working closely with the project office, subcontractors, project field engineers, and the customer. With your oversight of quality, budget, and timing, you ensure successful project execution in line with our high standards. You report to the Project Field Team Manager.
ABOUT THE JOB
As Experienced Project Field Engineer, you will:
* Prepare the project on site phase thoroughly, including site access, protocols, and reporting standards, while coordinating with the customer on site requirements.
* Translate the overall project planning into detailed erection and commissioning plans, defining roles and responsibilities for project field engineers.
* Calculate and define the required resources, including manpower, tools, and equipment, to ensure smooth execution.
* Coordinate all parties on-site, including the customer, health & safety, quality teams, the project field team, and subcontractors.
* Monitor project progress, identify and address potential issues or delays, and integrate input from project field engineers and subcontractors to keep the project on track.
* Control the available budget, avoid risks of penalties or liquidated damages, and ensure the project meets financial targets.
* Follow up on health & safety requirements for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and certificates are in place.
ABOUT YOU
We imagine our ideal candidate would:
* Hold a master's degree in engineering.
* Have at least 5 years of experience managing engineering projects on-site in large industrial environments.
* Bring proven skills in leading large teams, fostering collaboration between different parties, and managing complex projects.
* Combine strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on and professional approach.
* Be willing to travel and work on-site abroad for periods of 2-4 weeks, mainly in Western Europe.
* Communicate fluently in English.
This position requires residency in Belgium.
