About the Client
Our client is a global technology organisation supporting the air transport industry through the delivery of mission-critical IT and communication solutions.
As part of a major ERP transformation programme, they are seeking an experienced Data Cleansing & Migration Lead to drive data quality, migration, and governance activities across the programme.
About the Role
The Data Cleansing & Migration Lead will be responsible for leading all aspects of data cleansing, transformation, and migration activities within a large-scale ERP transformation programme.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, and IT teams to ensure high-quality, accurate data is migrated into the new ERP environment and that robust governance processes are established for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Cleansing & Quality Management
• Define, document, and maintain data cleansing and transformation methodologies in line with data protection, security, and governance best practices.
• Review work completed by Data Team members and contribute to the development of data quality standards, business glossaries, and data structure documentation.
• Collaborate closely with internal Data Architecture and Master Data teams to ensure alignment across all data workstreams.
• Produce regular reporting and dashboards covering KPIs, data quality metrics, and cleansing progress, while identifying opportunities to automate reporting processes.
• Lead data review workshops with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians across multiple data domains.
• Support hands-on data analysis and manipulation activities while mentoring and guiding members of the Data Team.
• Engage with business stakeholders to identify new data requirements arising from the transformation programme and incorporate them into ongoing data cleansing initiatives.
• Define methodologies for large-scale data corrections and partner with IT teams to implement efficient solutions that accelerate cleansing activities.
• Provide regular status updates and reporting on overall data quality and cleansing progress.
ERP Data Migration & Transformation
• Lead end-to-end data migration activities, ensuring programme deliverables are completed on schedule and to the required quality standards.
• Define, document, and manage data mapping and transformation rules, ensuring appropriate review and sign-off from key stakeholders.
• Coordinate the investigation and resolution of data migration fallout issues and exceptions.
• Establish ongoing data quality monitoring processes and governance controls within the new ERP environment to ensure sustainable data management beyond programme completion
What we are looking for
Skills & Experience Required:
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in data management, finance process management, ERP data migration, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience working with Oracle R12 data structures, finance processes, and associated data domains.
• Strong understanding of master data, transactional data, data governance, and data quality management principles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, large dataset analysis, and data manipulation.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyse, extract, transform, and validate data.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot while maintaining ownership and validation of outputs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
• Highly organised, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced transformation environment.
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
• Exposure to data governance frameworks, master data management, and enterprise data quality initiatives.
• Experience developing automated reporting, dashboards, and data quality monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP migration projects and complex enterprise data environments.
