A pivotal leadership role with global impact
Lead the strategic development and execution of global communication initiatives that elevate Bellona Foundation's brand and narrative, while fostering cross-country team collaboration and enhancing internal communication.
Drive global environmental transformation through strategic communication
Reporting to the CEO (based in Oslo) and being part of the global management team of the Bellona Foundation, the Head of Communication encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at shaping the global communication strategy of Bellona Foundation.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Global Strategy Translation: Design and execute comprehensive communication strategies that resonate with Bellona’s strategic objectives.
2. Strategic Communication Planning: Seamlessly integrate communications with key sectors such as funding, policy, and science, fortifying Bellona’s brand presence.
3. Narrative and Messaging Alignment: Continuously refine their global narrative, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.
4. Brand Development and Management: Advance Bellona’s visual identity, guaranteeing cohesive and impactful brand representation in both digital and traditional media.
5. Cross-Country Collaboration and Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a diverse team of communication experts, promoting collaboration and synergy across our global offices.
6. Internal Communication Excellence: Innovate processes to boost internal communication, enhancing employee engagement and ensuring strong organizational alignment.
Proven ability to develop and execute global communication strategies
7. You have minimum a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations or equivalent through experience.
8. You have at least 10 years’ experience and 5+ years in a leadership role.
9. You can look back on solid and concrete achievements in developing and rolling out communication strategies on global level.
10. You have a strong interest and understanding of environmental issues and global sustainability challenges.
11. You are proficient in digital communication tools and platforms.
12. You have advanced skills in public and media relations, including establishing and maintaining influential partnerships.
13. You have an excellent skills in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an asset.
14. You are based in the office in Brussels and are willing to travel occasionally within the EU.
