Your new role
As Associate Director, Customer Excellence, you'll join our commercial affiliate and be the strategic architect behind how we engage with customers across Belgium and Luxembourg. This is a rare opportunity to lead the commercial transformation agenda for a fast-growing affiliate, combining advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and omnichannel engagement to create measurable business impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Driving commercial strategy and sales force excellence through data-driven insights, advanced targeting, segmentation frameworks, and incentive optimization that directly impact affiliate performance
* Leading the affiliate's omnichannel customer engagement and digital transformation, deploying modern CRM ecosystems, marketing automation, and emerging digital channels to revolutionize how we connect with healthcare professionals
* Championing data-driven decision-making by managing comprehensive market intelligence, delivering actionable insights to leadership, and establishing the reporting infrastructure that guides strategic choices
* Spearheading the organization's transformation towards a customer-centric mindset and cross-functional ways of working, acting as a change catalyst across the affiliate
* Leading the affiliate's AI agenda by championing adoption and commercialization of global tools, ensuring the organization stays ahead in leveraging technology for business growth
* Building and developing the Customer Engagement team, fostering capabilities in sales force effectiveness, CRM, digital engagement, and AI enablement
* Serving as a key member of the BeLux Leadership Team, connecting data, strategy, and people with intellectual rigor and a constructive challenge mindset

The BeLux affiliate is at an exciting inflection point - experiencing significant growth while simultaneously modernizing its commercial infrastructure. Reporting directly to the BeLux General Manager, you'll join the affiliate leadership team and lead a high-performing team of 2 direct reports while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, regional Customer Excellence communities, and the broader organization to drive meaningful transformation.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a strategic leader who combines commercial acumen with technical expertise and a passion for driving organizational change. You'll bring:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial effectiveness, marketing, or related fields within competitive organizations, with demonstrable impact on business performance and proven leadership experience managing multifunctional teams. Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry can be an advantage but is not a prerequisite
* Master's degree in Commercial Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Applied Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications in marketing effectiveness or business strategy are a plus)
* Strong technical proficiency with CRM platforms, omnichannel engagement tools, data management systems (CDP, segmentation), analytics platforms (Power BI), and emerging technologies including generative AI
* Analytical mindset with exceptional data-driven decision-making ability, coupled with strategic thinking that translates insights into actionable commercial strategies
* Human-centric leadership style - you inspire and coach talent, lead through change with resilience, and foster collaboration across matrix structures with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
* Business-driven and ambitious approach with strong sense of priorities, high business ethics, curious mindset, and excellent communication skills
* Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French and Dutch are strong assets

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 118,310.00 to 189,300.00 EUR, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
