The Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) is seeking a talented and motivated Events Officer to join our Communications team. The team is looking for a proactive, ambitious, and results-driven professional with a confident mindset eager to contribute to the work of a leading independent think tank in Brussels, specialising in digital, energy, and mobility policy. Your Key Responsibilities As Events Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of CERRE’s in-person, hybrid, and virtual events (/- 30 per year), including: Managing all event logistics, including venues, technical providers, catering, and registrations Monitoring competing events and maintaining a shared planning calendar Drafting, designing, and proofreading of event communication materials Preparing compelling invitations and managing speaker liaison, including briefings and follow-up Overseeing all audience-related interactions and registration processes Coordinating the promotion and livestreams (LinkedIn, YouTube, Bluesky) and streaming platforms (Zoom, Teams) Enhancing audience engagement through innovative tools and platforms Conducting participant satisfaction surveys, analysing results, and recommending improvements Measuring success through analytics and creating impact reports for our members Your Profile 2–3 years of experience in event organisation and communications, ideally in a European policy or institutional setting Dynamic self-starter, highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines efficiently Clear communicator with excellent English (additional EU languages are an asset) Strong interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with academics, policymakers, industry leaders, and institutional partners Demanding team player with high standards for personal and team performance, maintaining a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset Proven project manager with excellent time management, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to deliver high-quality results under pressure Hands-on experience with hybrid and digital event formats (Zoom, Teams and coordination with AV providers) Proficient in MS Office, WordPress, email marketing tools (e.g. MailChimp), and event platforms (Zoom, LinkedIn, YouTube, Eventbrite, TicketTailor) Proven track record in preparing compelling event communication materials (invitations, web content, social media) Ability to analyse event performance and produce campaign reports What we offer A competitive compensation package A full-time, permanent contract Opportunities for telework A friendly, supportive, and welcoming team The chance to work directly with top experts, academics, and EU policymakers in the digital, energy and mobility sectors The opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic, multicultural, quality oriented, and intellectually stimulating work environment, based in beautiful offices in Brussels (Avenue Louise/Bois de la Cambre) How to apply Are you excited to join our team and make a difference?
