We are seeking experienced professionals to join our CFO Consulting team, specializing in Accounting and Regulatory Reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to advance their careers by helping clients navigate complex accounting and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with regulations, delivering robust financial and regulatory reporting, and future‑proofing reporting practices. Our projects encompass a variety of technical accounting initiatives, including the implementation of accounting and regulatory reporting changes, integration and optimization of ledgers and reporting processes, and transaction support. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance on finance transformation initiatives, focusing on process optimization, target operating model design, and finance systems implementation. You will also engage with innovative topics such as leveraging predictive analytics for business planning and utilizing interactive dashboards to enhance management reporting. By delivering comprehensive support and driving transformations, you will contribute to shaping the future of finance. This position places you at the forefront of addressing the most significant challenges faced by CFOs today.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and help implement a tailored solution.
* Contribute to the development of the competence team and EY as a whole.
* Serve key Financial Services clients, supporting them to respond to stakeholders’ expectations with respect to financial, regulatory, and management reporting (content, compliance, efficiency, quality, and controls).
* Improve closing, consolidation, and reporting cycle.
* Advise on accounting and regulatory reporting challenges in domains such as COREP, FINREP, Solvency II.
* Execute the reporting and consolidation processes via temporary support.
* Enhance decision‑making by optimizing budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Support implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements.
* Conduct analyses on accounting figures, management, and regulatory reporting.
* Provide technical advice to ad‑hoc queries from clients and internal staff as needed.
Skills And Attributes For Success
* Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., applied economics, commercial engineering) or equivalent through experience.
* Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting in financial services.
* External audit experience is a must.
* Between 2 and 5 years of relevant experience in financial (Belgian Gaap/IFRS), regulatory (CoRep/FinRep/RRP/Solvency II) or management reporting in Banking and/or Insurance.
* Knowledge of USGAAP, CRR/Solvency II and/or IFRS 9/17, EU Taxonomy or carbon accounting is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.
* Solid communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
* Ability to translate complex topics into clear, comprehensible communication to a broad audience.
* Proficient in business English and fluent in Dutch/French.
