Job Description
My Client requires a CAMO Avionics Technical Engineer for an initial 3 month contract (will be extended).
The Technical Engineer supports the Technical Management in controlling the Continuing Airworthiness requirements, and particularly the engineering aspect of the aircraft and contributes to improving the technical standard of aircraft in order to improve the safety level and the on–time performance.
Within the assigned ATA 100 chapters, provide support to the Technical Management to:
* Assess ADs, applicability, compliance, inform, prepare required engineering orders, task cards and material, encode in MIS. Keep control of the AD Binders.
* Analyze Service Information (SBs, SLs, SIB, etc…) and advise on pertinence and incorporation planning. Upon embodiment decision, prepare required engineering orders, task cards and material, encode in MIS.
* Investigate possible aircraft modifications, propose solutions and upon embodiment decision, prepare required engineering orders, task cards and material, encode in MIS. Update Aircraft Modification status and keep control of the Aircraft Modifications Binders.
* Review of pre-existing modification/STC data in order to ensure that aircraft documentation is amended accordingly.
* Perform Technical Investigations after Occurrence Report involving aircraft technical defect or maintenance element.
* Conduct reliability analyses and follow-up of issues identified through the Reliability Process.
* Produce aircraft introduction files iaw BCAA requirements, and to compile re-delivery bible for aircraft returned to the lessors.
* Engineering representative during checks and shop visits (sporadically).
And additionally for the domain "Avionics"
* Manage embarked software (FLS/LSAP) status and upgrades.
* Manage aircraft data communications setup including Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) data feed.
* Maintain Field Loadable Software cards.
* Monitor requirements to support operational approvals as RVSM, LVO, ETOPS, etc.
Financial Responsibilities
* Responsible to respect the decision making processes and overseeing business operations for the best interest of the business.
* Take into account financial aspects in aircraft modifications projects.
Quality Management Responsibilities
* Identify and report any deficiency in order to enable appropriate corrective action
* Follow the applicable procedure and suggest improvements when necessary to improve the quality
* Constantly look for ways to increase service quality
* Act per company procedures, and suggest improvements to these procedures as appropriate.
Qualifications
* Master in Engineering (preferably aeronautical, or electromechanical, or similar)
* At least one year experience in an aviation / aeronautical environment.
* Previous experience in a CAMO environment is an asset.
* Good knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance techniques.
* Previous experience on Airbus or Boeing engineering environment is an asset
* Good command of the English (written and spoken). French and Dutch are an asset.
* Ability to synthetize complex technical texts into schematics and résumés.
* Ability to make analyses, pro-actively propose areas of improvement.
* Team player with good communication skills
* Good organizational skills, rigorous, precise, well organized to keep overview on projects, set priorities.
* Able to maintain a professional office environment with due regard to confidentiality and security of aircraft data.
* Computer literate with good administration skills, familiar with MS office and e-mail system.
