We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Owners Representative for construction site projects with a mechanical engineering background. This position is for our client in Mons involved in Data Center projects.
Responsibilities
* Email contact for subcontractors with project concerns during preconstruction
* Create and establish the Master Project Schedule (P6 cost/resource loaded schedule)
* Create and establish the Master Project Budget including soft and hard costs, bonds, insurance, contingencies, and allowances
* Support contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis, and recommendations
* Support contract negotiation with the client’s PM and legal counsel, establishing GC business terms such as mark‑ups, fees, insurance, labor rates, and escalation
* Coordinate design team activities supporting the client PM
* Manage general contractor and directly contracted vendors on the ground
* Track schedules, monitoring and analysis
* Document control (track and coordinate addenda, bulletins, new drawing sets, clarifications)
* Ensure QA/QC is followed and report any issues or gaps
* Process, track, and report invoice/payment applications
* Track all key project documents, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, payments, and lien releases
* Coordinate and manage all owner‑direct vendors and consultants
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in engineering, specifically Mechanical Engineering
* Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction sites with knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and HVAC
* Fluent in English, French is a plus
* Flexible; remote work is not possible due to the scope of work
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
* Relevant certifications and qualifications (e.g., PMP, engineering degrees)
* Experience with Data Centre, infrastructure, or complex projects, including Primavera P6 and Google Suite
