We currently have a vacancy for an Agile Product Owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure clear and consistent input is provided to external contractors throughout the full development cycle;
* Work within an agile environment, setting priorities and defining business value and functionality for the development team;
* Oversee activities across multiple projects and contractors, tracking progress, ensuring quality and gathering input from relevant teams;
* Maintain a strong understanding of project goals and objectives;
* Review and validate requirements, taking into account input from key stakeholders and partner organisations;
* Propose practical solutions by combining technology and improvements to business processes;
* Contribute to planning and scheduling work within development cycles (sprints);
* Review deliverables and product features at the end of each development cycle;
* Organise and support live product demonstrations;
* Monitor progress and support reporting activities;
* Support clear communication and transparency across teams and stakeholders;
* Help prioritise and resolve issues or bugs;
* Collaborate closely with analysts, architects, stakeholders, project managers, and developers.
Requirements
* Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
* Experience with (Open-Source) data sharing tools (EDC, Gaia-X, others), models and standards (W3C DID, W3C DCAT, W3C ODRL, …);
* Experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user information systems;
* Experience with large projects or programmes;
* Experience in Agile as well as agile toolbox (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Big Picture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.);
* Excellent knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle;
* Good knowledge of cloud architecture best practices and patterns;
* Good knowledge of applications design;
* Good knowledge of modelling tools;
* Good knowledge of relational DBMS;
* Good knowledge of business process analysis;
* Good knowledge of interoperability technologies at cloud infrastructure level but also at service level (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture);
* The following certifications would be strongly preferred: Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Project Management certification: PMP, PMI, Prince2 Foundation, PM2 or equivalent;
* Excellent command of the English language.
