*The Role*
To ensure Bexco Synthetic Ropes by Bekaert are the solution of choice in offshore operations applications (Single Point Mooring & Lifting Solutions). Organize and manage all commercial activity related to offshore operations. Create opportunities and secure orders to ensure the business meets its commercial objectives in line with the profit plan and agreed objectives and strategies.
*Key Accountabilities*
* Identify concrete market potential, emerging trends, and industry shifts, including targeted qualification of key (lead) accounts within defined Single Point Mooring (SPM) applications.
* Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships between the organization and (potential) customers.
* Maintain and build worldwide strong network with agents.
* Negotiate effectively within commercial proposals to finalize sales agreements, ensuring acceptable deliverables and realistic timelines while balancing strict customer requirements with mutual commercial interests.
* Increase annual revenue from existing accounts by offering new products and services, identifying market opportunities and developing these into commercial solutions, and continuously evaluating the existing product range in line with
* Contribute to gathering relevant market intelligence by analyzing competitor products and customer feedback, and proactively adjusting commercial approaches accordingly.
* Collaborate closely with internal departments/teams to ensure the highest product quality and performance in order to fully meet customer expectations.
* Initiate and personally follow up on new R&D projects based on market perspectives and customer requirements.
* Prepare segment reports on account progress in line with defined objectives and key KPIs, supporting future business cases and corporate investment decisions.
* Coordinate and resolve customer complaints or problem scenarios, either single- or multidisciplinary, related to sales proposals and sales orders.

* Ensure accurate (pre-)sales administration, including quotation management, technical support coordination, contract compliance, sales order booking, lead-time and deliverable tracking, communication with support departments, customer payment follow-up, and non-conformity processes.
* Maintain up-to-date theoretical and practical technical knowledge relevant to the segment.
* Achieve segment sales results by meeting budgeted revenue and sales targets.
* Position Bexco Synthetic Ropes by Bekaert at the center of the offshore lifting ecosystem, building positive relationships with lifting engineers, rigging specialists, operators, and other stakeholders to ensure our products are widely accepted and specified in tenders.
* Responsible for visual inspection of slings, ensuring accurate assessment, proper documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Attend proof load tests, ensuring all procedures were performed to the required standards and verifying that goods met criteria for successful delivery.
*Competencies*
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial sciences, business administration, or equivalent through experience, with a passion for mechanics, material science, and offshore engineering.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of positive results in previous sales, business development, or project
management roles.
* Experience in offshore lifting, mooring, heavy lifting, or similar industries is a strong advantage.
* Ability to develop and manage multiple accounts, balancing long-term relationship building with short-term revenue generation.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix management organization and collaborate across internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Ability to analyze key sales data and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
* Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a team player.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
* Technical understanding of materials, structural integrity, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
* Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
* Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
