Job Summary
The ideal candidate for this Propulsion System Expert position will provide vital technical support for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements of our fleet's propulsion systems and related components.
* This role requires a strong technical background and experience in marine propulsion systems and maintenance.
The successful candidate will create maintenance plans and work orders in our asset management system to ensure top-notch equipment reliability. They will also be responsible for providing technical support to internal stakeholders, acting as the main contact between suppliers, repair facilities, and internal stakeholders during work preparation, and staying updated on new developments in propulsion for our vessel types.
This role involves establishing maintenance standards for propulsion equipment and related systems, developing cost-effective repair standards for propulsion equipment and related systems, offering technical input for FMEA and RCA conducted by our Reliability department, and ensuring all work preparations prioritize safety.
To perform this role effectively, you will need:
* An engineering degree in electromechanics, maritime engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in marine propulsion systems and maintenance.
* Strong technical knowledge and background.
* Proactive, team-oriented, and an effective communicator.
* Innovative and solution-focused.
* Willingness to travel abroad, with a work distribution of 80% at headquarters and 20% at vessel locations.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
