Our client is a local public administration committed to clear, accessible, and engaging communication towards both citizens and internal stakeholders. Within the Communication Department, you will contribute to the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives while supporting various departments with impactful campaigns and content creation.
You will work closely with the Communication Lead and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure consistent, high-quality communication across all channels.
Responsibilities
* Support and advise internal stakeholders on communication needs, campaigns, and content strategies.
* Translate communication requests into concrete proposals and coordinate the rollout of communication initiatives.
* Create engaging content for multiple channels, including:
* Social media posts
* Website articles
* Press releases
* Flyers and posters
* Manage and publish content across communication channels such as websites, social media, print materials, press communications, and digital displays.
* Ensure consistent application of the corporate identity and visual guidelines.
* Monitor communication trends, digital communication developments, and audience engagement opportunities.
* Respond to questions and requests from citizens, colleagues, and local authorities.
* Collaborate with external partners such as printers, designers, and web agencies.
* Review and edit texts with strong attention to language quality, tone of voice, spelling, and accessibility.
* Support image selection and visual communication while respecting GDPR and image ownership regulations.
* Contribute to administrative and operational tasks within the Communication Department.
Experience & Competencies
Must-have
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Communication Consultant or similar communication role.
* Proven experience with Canva.
* Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write engaging and inspiring content.
* Experience creating, editing, and publishing social media content on platforms such as META and LinkedIn.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
* Native-level Dutch proficiency (CEFR C2).
Nice-to-have
* Experience writing corporate, marketing, and/or product-related content.
* Experience developing and/or implementing internal communication plans.
* Good understanding of trends and developments in digital communication, content marketing, and social media.
