Chief Accountant
Location: Sint-Niklaas
Your Role & Responsibilities
As Chief Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our operations in Belgium. Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the documentation and financial control of accounting records (approval workflows, accuracy, reliability, etc.)
Ensuring timely and accurate data entry into our ERP system (Business Central/ Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision)
Recording and reconciling business transactions
Monitoring and applying relevant tax laws and accounting standards (local and IFRS)
Calculating taxes, charges, and overseeing financial operations
Managing cash transactions and payroll processes
Preparing comprehensive financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) in accordance with local standards, IFRS, and Krka Group policies
Supporting the preparation of consolidation packages and internal reporting
Leading or participating in annual inventory processes
Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies
Providing guidance and instructions for monitoring business events and financial procedures
What We Expect
University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in accounting and finance, preferably in an international environment
Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, IFRS, payroll, fixed assets, and material management
Experience with timely and accurate financial reporting
In-depth understanding of Belgian tax and financial legislation
Proficiency in ERP systems (Business Central/Navision is a plus)
Fluency in Dutch and English (a working knowledge of French at an intermediate level is desirable)
