Your role
As an R&D Lab Technician, you will join the Formulations & Dispersions Development (FDD) team. You will contribute to the development and scale-up of new formulations such as dispersions, solutions, and emulsions for various business units (including inks, membranes, and functional coatings).
You play a key role in bridging research and production.
Your responsibilities
1. Prepare and evaluate dispersions, solutions, emulsions, and other formulations at pilot scale
2. Conduct process investigations and contribute to process optimization in collaboration with the Research Leader
3. Perform quality control analyses to support research and customer deliveries
4. Accurately document and report results, data, and observations
5. Support the scale-up and introduction of new formulations into production
6. Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment
7. Manage stock of raw materials and consumables
8. Ensure safety and health aspects are considered in all experiments
9. Actively participate in safety initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement
Your profile
10. A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a technical field (or equivalent through experience)
11. Comfortable working independently in a lab environment with strong attention to safety, order, and cleanliness
12. Hands-on mentality; not afraid of physical work
13. Strong sense of responsibility, well-organized, and goal-oriented
14. Proactive, analytical, and solution-driven
15. Good communication and reporting skills; a true team player
16. Able to adapt quickly and manage multiple experiments or environments
17. Technical knowledge (pumps, valves, electricity, mechanics, etc.) is a strong plus
18. Willing to occasionally work in shifts
19. Fluent in Dutch; knowledge of English is an asset (or willingness to learn)
