Proposal Manager
Division – sales team
The Proposal Manager ensures that all proposals assigned to him/her are properly finalized. This includes coordinating the proposal process, preparing the actual proposals and presenting them to management and/or clients. As proposal Manager, you will work with tight deadlines, delegate some of the tasks required to complete a proposal and follow up closely to ensure a timely response. In addition to proposals, you will also prepare certification and homologation files for clients. You are also responsible for the correct execution of a number of existing framework agreements.
As part of the sales team you will also support our US sales office by working on overhead conductor requests and acting as a liaison to our US sales team.
You will report to the global strategy lead and business development manager for overhead conductors, providing regular input on all activity.
Following tasks are within your responsibilities
* Prepare and coordinate pre-qualification documentation, homologation and certification files
* Prepare and coordinate the entire RFP process with all departments involved (technology, production, planning, EHS, ESG...) to ensure complete and timely submittal of proposals
* Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity and to make a final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance and conformance with technical requirements
* Provide accurate cost calculations for tender submissions and pricing files
* Keep CRM-system updated with information regarding customers, projects, and data from proposals
* Screen proposal and contract terms and conditions, identify risk and mitigations to ensure compliance with company policy
* Occasionally attend bid clarifications and negociation meetings with customers
* First line management of framework agreements
Profile
* Commercial engineer or electromechanical or electrical engineer (ir./ing.)
* Fluent in Dutch and English. German and French is a plus
* Knowledge the electric power sector is a plus
* Able to manage unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines
* Able to work in an international environment
